Coronavirus update: London Bridal Fashion Week and White Gallery

Coronavirus update: London Bridal Fashion Week and White Gallery: Image 1 Unsure about what's happening in terms of wedding trade shows amidst the COVID-19 outbreak across the globe? Attire Bridal contaced the organisers of London Bridal Fashion Week and White Gallery, taking place at ExCel London on the 22nd-24th March, for their statement…

"As responsible event organisers and in line with our company values, the health and safety of all those who attend our events is our primary concern and priority.

We appreciate that people may be concerned given the high level of media coverage the Coronavirus is receiving, however the risk to individuals in the UK remains low and there are no restrictions on travel or trade.

"London Bridal Fashion Week will be taking place as normal. Registrations for the event are following normal patterns, and we don’t anticipate a significant impact on attendance. We are currently tracking +12% ahead on registrations, with buyers still registering everyday."

Nicola Garton, Chair of the RBA says “The RBA will be supporting LBFW in a few weeks’ time, and encouraging all retailers to attend as planned. It’s an important buying event for the industry and we shouldn’t allow speculation and hype to deter from what will be a great opportunity to see the fabulous new collections from our suppliers.”

As the first major show in the European calendar, and given the uncertainty in the rest of market, the show feel it’s important to give retailers the opportunity to conduct their buying at a time when the risk is low and contained in the UK.

William Dicks, Chair of the BBSA says “It is imperative that our industry has a strong and successful trade show to kick off the new selling season. The BBSA and its members are fully committed to attending LBFW and making it a successful show. With far greater uncertainty on the continent, London will be one of the most important buying events of the season.”

Cassandra Denman, Head of Bridal (London) says “We are very grateful for the ongoing support of our visitors and exhibitors, who continue to register and plan for the show, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to LBFW incorporating White Gallery in London later this month.”
