52 INSTA INSPO Each issue we check out a wedding brand with an impressive Instagram following. Let’s say hello to shoe designer Charlotte Mills When did you first launch your Instagram? We signed up when we started the business in 2014. We’ve recently hit 27.5k followers, which we’re chuffed about! What posts work the most? Our followers love funny quotes and sneak peeks of new styles. These always get a lot of likes and it’s great reading the feedback.  Do you have someone dedicated to your social media? It’s a mixture. I post organically when I see something I love, but the rest is managed by Emma Jane Social. Emma worked as an intern for us a few years ago so she knows the brand inside out.  What’s been your most successful post to date? This photo we put up [left] – everyone’s gone crazy for our tulle bow styles! This was one of the first posts of the images from our latest shoot. Do you offer competitions or work with influencers? We’ve posted competitions and they’ve worked really well – who doesn’t love free shoes? It’s a good idea to do a joint competition with similar brands to help reach new followers. Look at collaborating with a blog for a giveaway, too. What advice do you have for gaining new followers?  Look at what posts have received the most likes and use this as a guide for what people want to see. Interact with other accounts you like and hopefully they will share the love.
